File Types
Every application on a Windows\Mac\Android device has applications to work with different files.
For example we can use Adobe photoshop to work on photos We can use windows media player to open movie files. We call these applications tools. Task: Competitive Brain Storm

Somehow, Whenever you open a file on your computer it knows what type of program to use.
e.g. If I open a picture file... it knows to open it in windows picture viewer. Class Activity.
